Read Verses 1-12
1. Disruptions are part of the Christian walk. If your life is unchanging, you should question whether you are serving God the way He would want you to. Does your life have godly disruptions, or is it constantly comfortable?
2. Paul was a friend maker. Are we friendly people? Give some examples of how you are friendly, or how you are convicted to be more of a friend.
3. Do I help the spiritually dead, like Paul did for the physically dead?
4. Who and what am I alive to?
Read Verses 13-27
1. “We can’t change the wind, but we can adjust the sails”. Are we flexible and available to the Holy Spirit like Paul was?
2. Do you have friends that you cry with when you depart from one another?
3. Paul entrusted others with ministry because he was so captivated by God’s grace in his life that he wanted to see it in others. Godly leaders entrust ministry to others. Do you entrust ministry to others, or do you feel that you’re the only one who can do it?
Four Principles of Paul’s Ministry:
1. Paul’s unshakable commitment to God and God’s people.
2. Commitment to sharing God’s Word.
a. You can’t share what you do not know.
3. His calling transcends self.
a. A commitment to Christ that superseded self-interest was a pattern in Paul’s life.
4. He was faithful to his calling in a way that left him with a sense of well-being, and clear conscience within him.
Talk about these 4 principles and how you are applying them, or need to apply them, in your own life (and be specific).
Read Verses 28-38
The Warning of the Future
Read Revelation 2:1-7

a. How is your love for God?
3. After self-examination, examine the flock and how they are doing.
a. How is the flock that is among you doing?
4. Do you protect the flock?
a. How do you protect the flock?
5. Do you build relationships that talk about Jesus, and not yourself or others?
6. Do you warn people about what is ahead, even if it is unpopular to talk against the issue?
7. Paul is telling us not to get shallow.
a. How do you attain and maintain depth in Jesus?
8. In your growth, are you growing more graceful or more legalistic?
9. If we are going to be effective in our Ephesus, we need to live out grace; Spirit-filled, Spirit-led, humble servants loving others.
a. Are you too busy to be effective in your Ephesus?

What are some of the main things that stick out in Paul's testimony?
In what ways does your testimony relate to some of the things expressed by Paul?
